Dear families and scholars,

While we celebrate the coming of fall and Thanksgiving it is important to be thinking about those less fortunate than ourselves. As a Scholar Senate, we are always thinking about how we can “Change the World” and this year we are doing a 2-day food drive for the Food Bank of NYC. If you are coming to the Fall Potluck bring a non- perishable food item to be donated to the Food Bank of NYC at the Scholar Senate table in the back of the Cafeteria.

As a prize for your scholar’s donation, they will receive a ticket to be redeemed on the Monday before Thanksgiving Break, November 20th, for a “Dress Down Day”!

Rules:

1. Bring in non-perishable food items and tell the scholar senator at the table to write your name on their list and give you a ticket.

2. Scholars who earn the Dress Down Day can wear an outfit of their choice provided it has sleeves, no holes in pants, and is school appropriate. Be sure to bring your uniform even if you earned a Dress Down Ticket just in case!

Look for our table at the Potluck! Bring in those cans!
